Cbank: OFZ bond sales by foreigners fall to 16 bln rbl in October
MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Non-residents and affiliates of foreign banks reduced the sales of Russian OFZ federal bonds at the exchange to 16.2 billion rubles in October from 39.7 billion rubles in September and 86.1 billion rubles in August, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
Purchases of the bonds at auctions organized by the Finance Ministry amounted to 26.3 billion rubles in October.
The share of non-residents on the OFZ market, calculated as balance on accounts with the National Settlement Depository, fell to 24.4% as of the end of October from 25.2%, which corresponds to 1.768 trillion rubles and 1.81 trillion rubles.
